Small octavo, original pictorial wrappers (paperback format). 94 pp. US Edition. Issued as a Venture Book (no number) (40p net). Small bump to upper page edges at outer rear cover; but an unread copy, uncreased, never rear, flat crisp spine. Very, very uncommon. The first edition of Jack Adrian's first book, with a particularly lurid (and somewhat absurd) pictorial cover of a particularly Christopher Lee-like Dracula drinking blood from a glass with his fangs. Adrian has made his name in the field as an essayist and anthologist, notably having edited nine volumes of THE ASH-TREE PRESS ANNUAL MACABRE volumes, 1997-2005.
