No dust jacket (i.e. lacking) save for clipped rear panel text portion affixed to ffep. Blue cloth with vibrant gilt stamped lettering to spine. Gilt top edge; light toning to fore-edge and bottom edge with some soiling to latter as well. Candle, book, and owl-themed personal bookplate of St. Louis physician, naval historian, and author E. Lee Dorsett (Edward Lee Dorsett, 1883-1967) at front pastedown center; slender bookseller ticket "Chas. E. Lauriat Co., | Importers & Booksellers | 385 Wash'n St. Boston" affixed at front free endpaper's bottom left corner; interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding retains some crispness. A handsome book.
