First edition, first printing. Publisher's original red cloth boards with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and black and white illustrations by R.J. MacDonald. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The text block edges are a little dusty. Complete with the bright original dustwrapper that remains without loss with just a few tiny nicks and some fading to the red lettering on the spine. Not price-clipped (7s 6d net to the front flap).
