THE BEST SCIENCE FICTION STORIES: 1949, Fell, 1949, first edition, near fine in like color pictorial dust-wrapper with some minor chipping to head of the dust-wrapper spine and upper fore edge corner tips. Contributions by Ray Bradbury, Fred Brown, Isaac Asimov, Murray Leinster, Henry Kuttner, Lewis Padgett, Poul Anderson, Wilmar Shiras, et.al. The two Bradbury contributions here, MARS IS HEAVEN & AND THE MOON BE STILL AS BRIGHT, arguably the best and most poignant among the authors earliest works, were both included a year later in the martian chronicles, therefore making this volume, in part, a delightful preview of what may be said, the authors most famous book.
