First American edition, second impression. 6 X 9 inches, Light green cloth decorated with a gold French Courier. 320 pages, indexed. Color frontis of Le courier du Rhin plus 35 plates including attractive gravures with tissue guards. Nicely designed bookplate of Jessey C. Wilson on front end paper. Spine badly faded, slight foxing to end paper & first two pages. Else Very good. Tho originals of most of the letters and illustrations are housed at Llanfawr, Holyhead.
