A full set of this excellent quarterly county magazine, published between 1947 and 1999, all 208 issues, all complete and in their original wrappers. A very few of the wrappers have wear or tears to the spine (two quite badly, but attached), slight fading, or original owners names on the front or back, one has writing on the front, and all have been read, with some associated wear, but in general this is a very good clean set. This was always regarded as one of the very best magazines in its field, covering all aspects of life and industry in Bedfordshire, with a strong bias towards its history, and there is a huge amount of information to found within its pages which is not available elsewhere, not to mention the many fine illustrations from photographs or line drawings. There are full and shorter histories of Bedfordshire lives, families, industry, businesses, villages, houses, transport, natural history, etc., and much on current affairs which is now, of course, history in itself, all written in an authoritative manner by people with actual connections or knowledge of their subject. In addition, there is the cloth-bound index for volumes 1-20, in very good condition.
