Large folio. Engraved portrait of the author by Augustin de Saint-Aubin, 75 mounted plates (numbered I-LXXIII, but with XXXIV* and XXXIX**), many of them folding to impressive size. In a 19th centure half calf binding. Ex-library copy, but with few and unobtrusive stamps only. Some foxing, mostly towards the end of the volume. *** The plates for Perronet's foundational work on bridge building, bound in an atlas volume. Very imposing and fascinating. Might need additional postage.
