Glow-in-the-Dark Planisphere: This planisphere has been specially made so that, after being held under a bright light, the stars and the names and shapes of the constellations will glow in the dark for a period. It is both a fun and practical star finder for identifying the stars and constellations visible on any night of the year from the US and Southern Canada (42 degrees North); the star map is drawn by the well-known celestial cartographer Wil Tirion. A sheet explaining how to use the planisphere is included in the pack.

Concise chapters introduce the Sun, the Earth and all the other planets in our Solar System. Then, moving further into space, the author examines the stars and galaxies, and explores the origin of the Universe.
Star Chart: This Star Chart shows the stars and constellations of the night sky in three superb maps: the northern and southern hemispheres, and the equatorial region. All stars visible with the naked eye are shown, with the brightest stars shown in their true colours. Fainter star clusters and nebulae are marked for observers using binoculars or small telescopes. Constellations, double stars and variable stars are also listed, and an informative accompanying text explains how to use the charts throughout the year, at any latitude. Moon Map: In a convenient folded format, the Moon Map is a superbly detailed, large-format map of the near (visible) side of the Moon. Specially drawn for by Dr John Murray, an expert on the lunar surface, the map is not only a highly accurate and clear representation of the Moon but is also a practical guide for lunar observers. More than 500 physical features - craters, seas, mountain ranges, peaks, valleys and rilles (elongated depressions) - are named and indexed, and the landing sites of unmanned and manned spacecraft are also marked. The observer can thus readily identify objects seen through binoculars or a telescope, or pick targets for a program of observation.;The accompanying text is a practical guide to Moonwatching, which explains how to use the map and highlights the most interesting lunar features. Close-up images of some of these objects show what the observer can expect to see. Please send cash, check, or money order to my PO Box or physical address, or you may pay online with your credit card using the ABE Commerce purchase option, or via PayPal at www.paypal.com specifying payment to my email address. For PayPal-purchased books under $10, I request an additional fee of $0.50 to offset the transaction fee that PayPal charges me. Overseas PayPal customers may make payment in US Dollars, Pounds Sterling, or Euros after factoring the appropriate conversion rates.
Sales tax of 8.125 is charged on shipments to California addresses.
To guarantee delivery of books, buyers should request and pay for postal insurance. This costs $1.30 for the first $50 of coverage, $2.20 for $100 of coverage, plus $1 additional for each additional $100 of coverage. Insurance is not available for international orders unless shipped via parcel post, which itself costs additional.
Please note that a listed book may have been sold to a prior buyer and not yet removed from the database. I will hold books for 10 days while awaiting payment.
If you wish to see a photo or scan of any book, I can email an electronic image to you. However, this may take extra time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you place an ABE Book Order without specifying payment type, please be aware that the book is automatically removed from the online database when you do this, and thus you will no longer find the book online afterwards. If you later decide you wish to pay for your order by credit card, please contact me via email and I will restore the book to the online database so that you may find it online to order and pay for it using the ABECommerce option.

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Ed Buryn Books, Nevada City, California, U.S.A., +1 530-460-9184, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, I may contact you to let you know that an extra shipping cost may be required.
