Complete set in mismatched bindings of this brief, 19th century astrological magazine. Sections on astrology and the bible, horse racing, diseases and remedies, horoscopes, a chat through the telephone and a horoscope of Edison, nativities, palmistry, reviews of books on the occult sciences, and much more. The Astrologerfizzled out within 3 years, but was important for its influence on a young English astrologer and theosophist named Alan Leo. Leo would essentially replace the magazine with his own Astrologer's Magazine in 1895, an important publication in the 20th century revival of the science. Uncommon. Volume I-II in half calf, volume 3 in patterned black cloth, both spines stamped in gilt.
