Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Second Impression. xi, 339p, ills, 2 folding maps. Couple of small minor discolorations along top of spine, and two minor markings on edge of rear cover, but book in excellent condition. Has book plate with signature of Julian W. Feiss, a mining engineer and a graduate of Princeton and the Arizona School of Mines. After graduation he worked as a practical miner in Idaho. From 1929 to 1931 he was a field geologist in southern Africa. He then joined the consulting firm of Crowell & Murray and worked in Ontario, South Dakota, and Chile, among other places. In 1937 he went to work at the Climax Molybdenum Mine in Colorado. During World War II, he returned to Africa with the military intelligence services. Seller Inventory # 017245
