From the collection formed by Maxwell Steinhardt, with his Rockwell Kent-designed bookplate on the front pastedown. Former owner Steinhardt, once president of the George Bernard Shaw Society and long a member of the Grolier Club, formed an impressive book collection devoted to English literature and, especially, Shaw.
