About this Item
In chronological order: Arsenal v Manchester United, Leeds United, Leicester City, Sheffield United, Stoke City, Birmingham City, Ipswich Town, Liverpool, Chelsea, Coventry City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Burnley, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Manchester City, West Ham United, Derby County, Queen's Park Rangers. Note that the last page of each programme lists the team personnel. There are no annotations at all and, where relevant, each issue has retained its 1973-74 Cup Final Voucher on the final page. Particularly noteworthy are 2 Programmes - v Wolverhampton Wanderers & Norwich, which were affected by the National Fuel Emergency & three day working week. The Wolves match could not be played under lights, hence the 4 page programme - an economic decision as Arsenal feared a loss of revenue caused by a low "gate" (the match was played at 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon). The Norwich issue was affected by the national printers only working for three days each week - as the programme notes explain, had Arsenal had to replay Norwich in an FA Cup match just 4 days before the League fixture, it would not have been possible for the printers to produce a separate programme, hence the idea of "doubling up" (in actual fact, this proved unnecessary as no replay was needed). Although clearly used with instances of creasing, rusting staples & occasional blemishing, the programmes are in Fair condition, especially considering their age. Seller Inventory # 10896
