First editions. 23 volumes. Slim quartos, several oblong. Text in both Spanish and English. Glazed pictorial boards. Occasional modest bumping at the corners and spine ends, a bright, very near fine collection. Review copies, nearly all of the books with both a press release describing the publication and a review slip laid in; a few have a review stamp on the front fly or title page. A nice collection of bilingual children's books published by Piñata Books, the children and young adult imprint of Houston's Arte Público Press. Arte Público describes itself as the "oldest and most accomplished publisher of contemporary and recovered literature by U.S. Hispanic authors." This collection contains the work of 19 authors and 12 illustrators; most books were published between 2001 and 2003.
