Add to basket11 1/2" X 14 1/2" [29cm X 37cm] Brown leatherette box with the title embossed on the front and spine. Top rectangular section of the box is missing. Box contains an 8 page introduction and 12 folders each containing 12 full page photographs for a total of 144. The introduction has some insect damage that does not affect the text. The photos in folder L have some water stains that do not affect the images. "Published and presented to the Architects, Technical Schools and Libraries of California by The Monolith Portland Cement Company, Los Angeles, California" Limited edition, copy no. 443 of 1000 of Special Architect's Edition. Requa triggered a new wave of interest in the Spanish/Mediterranean style when he copied the designs herein for the 1935-1936 California Pacific Exposition in San Diego's Balboa Park. This work acted as a guide for California architects to develop an appropriate style for the West Coast based on authentic models. "For the convenience of architects, this work has ben divided into 12 sections in which the various architectural features have been classified. Each section contains 12 plates, indexed on the enclosing folder. The title of the subject will be found on the back of each plate.
