On The Application of Cast and Wrought Iron to Building Purposes, William Fairburn 1854. First Edition. Original binding, now rebacked. Boards generally mottled, marked, discoloured and with wear to margins. Binding firm. Endpapers generally discoloured and a little marked. Contemporary ownership inscription to ffep with small modern label. A little water damage to lower edge of frontis, along with some generalised spotting. Similarly there is water damage to the lower edges of the two folding plates to the rear, along with some dust soiling. Generally, the main text is reasonably bright with periodic scattered spotting and some dust soiling most notably to the rear. Numerous illustrations and tables throughout the text. Frontis, title, viii, errata slip; 183pp followed by 16pp of adverts for John Weale's publications to rear. Frontis fold-out is of Saltaire Mills with a locomotive approaching. The two folding plans to the rear are of the ground floor of the mill and a section through the mill. More details available on request. (Ud3). Seller Inventory # 000465
