This text was added to the second edition of Ripperda’s Memoirs, of which the first and second editions appeared in the same year (1740). Copies of the appendix may have been offered to buyers of copies of the first edition. At any rate, it is separately recorded in JCB and Sabin. JCB I 665. Sabin 71536.
