First issue, dated April, 1908 on the copyright page, with 8 page publisher's catalogue at the rear. Variant binding, most copies being in green or tan cloth. The binding is lightly rubbed & soiled and there is an ownership signature, but this is a solid, internally fine copy of the very rare first issue of Montgomery's first novel.
