Item description from seller
Contents: Preface. 1. The past and the present. 2. The re-birth of Anna Hazare: his life and philosophy. 3. The process of change. 4. The transformation. 5. Analysis and conclusion. Epilogue. Methods and limitations of study. References. Glossary. Appendices. The book is the story of perhaps India's most successful and best known revolutions that transformed a derelict village from poverty to plenty. Ralegan Siddhi is located in the heart of drought prone Ahmednagar District in the Deccan plateau of Maharashtra. Anna Hazare inspired community efforts and used local leadership to transform the village into a green prosperous oasis spotlessly clean with a thriving self sufficient community. This book follows the transformation as a textbook example for villages across the country. (jacket).
