8 coloured lithograph plates, numerous text and full-page wood engravings, half and full title pages, pp.184, full calf binding with gilt embossed college emblem to upper cover, a little rubbed, gilt tooled edges to boards and marginal gilt ruling, spine with raised bands and gilt decoration to compartments, gilt lettering, marbled endpapers with armorial book plate to front paste down, all edges marbled. Some minor spotting to endpapers and blank pages facing plates, which are unaffected, binding firm, some pencil notes to front endpaper. A very attractive copy. Mammals featured include Elephant, Rhinoceros, Lion, Tiger etc. Sm. 8vo.
