A charming and uncommon historical pamphlet by R. Rhodes.Containing a new translation of five charters of Birmingham for the first time printed together in their extended form. The first edition.From the original rolls in the Public Office. They set out the liberties of the lords of the manor of Birmingham, in the barony of Dudley, as granted or confirmed to Sir Peter de Birmingham about 1155 and his heirs and successors until 1285.In the publisher's original still paper wraps, cord bound. In the original publisher's stiff paper wraps in a cord binding. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a touch of edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with titles in red. Very Good Indeed.
