Add to basketFIRST REVISED AND ENLARGED EDITION, 1969, FIRST PRINTING. Photographic illustrations including movie stills by Robert Frank; publisher's black cloth - contents bright and clean, photographic dust-jacket, neatly price-clipped, superficial rubbing and missing a piece on top but overall bright and very good. Now protected in an archival-quality dust jacket protector. A great copy of this important photographic work by Robert Frank, heralded by some as the 'graphic spokesman of the Beat Generation'. Originally published in a French language edition in Paris, it was republished for the American market in 1959 by Grove who commissioned Jack Kerouac to write the introduction. This enlarged edition has a number of additional photographs. An important book for many reasons not least of which being the attention to format and page layout provided by the photographer himself.
