First Edition (stated), First Printing thus, 1959. A Poor copy due to a 6 page grouping detached (but present). Ex-library with a sticker stain to the spine. Internally the photo plates are clean except for three which have library rubber stamps in the margins. The title page is stamped and overstamped with "Discarded" and a library pocket is attached to the rear endpaper. The Kerouac introduction is unmarked except for a small rubber stamped "80" in the margin of page i and some light smudges. The covers show rubbing to the spine titles and edges and light shelf wear. No dust jacket.
