272, illus., guest list, DJ worn, soiled, and edge tear, pencil erasure on front endpaper. Peggy Whedon, the producer of ABC News' Issues and Answers, has been hobnobbing with the great and the near great since 1960. She has taken the hand of five presidents of the United States; disagreed with leaders of Congress, Labor, and Big Business; and probed for economic forecasts from industrial and banking giants. Behind the show's low-key presentation are often dramatic surprises such as earthquakes, bombings, blizzards, shootings, heat prostration, and frozen toes. Here the reader accompanies Peggy Whedon through two decades of history-in-the-making.
