Front joint beginning to split. 4.5cm loss at base of spine, slight loss at head. Scattered foxing, but text mostly clean. Malta Garrison Library book-plate to front pastedown. Mudie's Library book-plate to front board. Edges browned. Covers marked. Corners bumped. Blind stamped cloth. Contains frontispiece, 7 illustrations and 4 maps.
