Apr 06 If you like the American country look you will love this book - it simple oozes with folk art charm! The book starts with a chapter on applique and quilt making basics which makes the book accessible to all abilities, though a certain amount of persistence may be required for the more complex designs. This is followed by precise instructions of how to cut and then piece every letter of the alphabet. The 15 projects are for small quilts and wallhangings but they could be used as the centre of a larger full size quilt. Each quilt has a list of materials required and extremely precise instructions for cutting the pieces, followed by well illustrated information on how to construct the quilt top. The photo at the start of each chapter is clear enough to use as a layout plan and all the templates needed are within the relevant chapter. Instructions for piecing the whole alphabet are given so you can refer back to it when working on any of the 15 projects.
