About this Item
Near Fine; immaculate and sparkling. See scans and description. Box-shipped; no bags here. New York: Condé Nast / Alexandra W. Golinkin, 1998. The April, 1998 issue of Allure Magazine. Quarto, photo-illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 196 pp. Near Fine, only due to a small spine-top abrasion and 3/8" slit through the edge of the rear cover and the last page, these being as-received (never-read). Yes, that's picky, but technically it holds this rather scintillating example in Near Fine condition. No labels, of course, and all tipped in or loose-laid cardstock offers remain inside; the scent even lingers, as this example goes to careful storage, of a cosmetics advertiser ad panel. Won't linger forever, but it's made it this far - since 1998. See scans. Cover model is Niki Taylor, wearing duds by Ann Demeulemeester, a Kevin Mancuso 'do, Cover Girl makeup. Just inside starts the Murderer's Row of supermodels in big, splashy, elegant pro photographer ads - and of course that continues, sumptuously, throughout, and graces articles as well as modeled ads. Some enjoyable topics - remember, there are a rich 196 pages of fashion, celebrity, style, health and food journalism with very professional photography to match - include, but are hardly limited to, Lauren Holly, Karen Elson, Patti Davis, Carrie Donovan, Sleepless in Starbucks, Free Beauty Loot, Skin Care/Makeup/Attitude, Off-Duty Beauty, etc., etc. A collectible, squeaky-new, never-read example of an early issue of a topflight genre publication - one which has had Linda Wells at the helm since its 1991 inception. Shipped in a sturdy, new, protective box - no baggin' it here. LPR12. Seller Inventory # 60800
