Add to basketThis is the classique Mesopotamian tale of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves (Quarante Voleurs) : fore-shortened. The 32 pages of the volume are fleshed out by Sindbad le Marin (Sinbad the Sailor) and Aladin et la Lampe Merveilleuse (Alladin and the Magic Lamp). The strength of this telling is the J. Gilly illustrations - she's/he's clearly studied the arts of the ancient Middle East. Come MEET the following characters : Cassim, Morgiane, Hindbad, Mustafa, Princesse Badroulboudoir. UNpaginated. Cond : Pictorial boards are white with green and black lettering. Cover illustration is a composite but largely from the marriage scene of Morgiane and Ali Baba's son. End-papers are VERY bright palace scenes. One edge bump and small wear point near spine top. Split developing on back hinge. Minor soiling, no tears, binding shaken, no marks names nor creases. Very attractive volume !! ." (Suddenly, she sank the dagger up to the hilt without . .) Size: Folio (small).
