Item description from seller

Burgandy Ckith. Very Good/Good+. First Edition. Hardback. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 130 pages; translated from the French by John Russell; "Here is a new and intimately personal account of Schweitzer's life by a French writer who has been a close friend of le grand docteur and who knows him as a neighbor rather than as the towering world figure and Nobel Prize winner."- (from the dj) Included, by Schweitzer, is an account of an episode in his childhood, and his address on the problem of ethics in the evolution of human thought. Book condition: Book's upper edge has some minor foxing, as have the endpapers; dj is a rather uniform tan color, which I assume has changed from white over the years; there is also a price clip, otherwise dj is in nice condition.
