A different Addams collectible, long out-of-print! This was a one-time collaborative effort between the famed macabre cartoonist & noted crime writer/biographer of Al Capone, featuring essays & many never-before-collected delightfully bizarre Addams' cartoons. 135 pages. Cartoons originally published in the "New Yorker,'' this is their first time collected in book form in this FIRST EDITION, first printing from 1950. With black cloth-covered boards lettered in yellow to spine with a yellow design to front cover, this hardcover small quarto (4to) is in VG condition: completely clean, ext block solid & straight, but cracked at gutter on half-title page. Pages white & unmarked save for old gift inscription to same page. Slight bumping to corners & lower extremities, with a spot or two of cloth loss. The price-clipped DJ is Good: lovely Addams image to front, paper loss at all corners & another chip from top edge of front cover; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free!
