Produced to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Orbital Sciences Corporation, An Adventure Begins is a striking example of high-end corporate publishing from the formative years of the modern private-space industry. Issued in a substantial large-format hardcover, the volume features heavy coated stock, restrained yet elegant typography, and meticulously curated photographic spreads that give it the presence of a design object as much as a historical record. The book traces Orbital's evolution from its entrepreneurial founding in 1982 through pivotal programs including Pegasus, ORBCOMM, Minotaur, and early human spaceflight initiatives. Essays by senior executives and program leaders are complemented by archival imagery, technical photography, and reproduced internal documents, offering an unusually complete visual and narrative account of the company's first quarter-century. This copy is in Like New / Like New condition, with clean, unworn boards, a tight binding, bright unmarked pages, and a crisp, glossy dust jacket. Examples surviving in this state are uncommon, particularly given the book's limited commemorative distribution and substantial production values.…
