EL no. 804. --- An ex-library copy, in EL binding style 3 with full carmine cloth-covered boards and gilt-stamped spine titling; blindstamped Eric Ravilious-designed 'shell' to cover and brown topstain. In dust jacket with Ravilious 'knot' to front panel. --- Evidence of former ownership by a lending library limited to sticker & inked notation on front free endpaper, and slip pasted to rear paste-down; also with spot of sunning to cloth at spine, else a clean, tightly-bound copy. Good-only, rather fragile jacket with an open tear on spine, other small chips and tears but remaining mostly intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; Ex-Library; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; xiv, 400, 16 (ads) pages.
