A classic instructional craft book introducing traditional Chinese paper-folding techniques as taught to children across generations. Maying Soong blends cultural heritage, childhood memories, and practical step-by-step diagrams to teach readers how to create toys, decorations, miniature furniture, party hats, ornaments, animals, and functional objects - all without scissors or paste. The book emphasizes creativity, dexterity, and the therapeutic value of handmade crafts. It includes a foreword on Chinese handicraft traditions, detailed folding sequences, and numerous diagrams. The author's biographical background adds historical and cultural depth, highlighting her education, artistic training, and dedication to child welfare. This particular copy bears library markings and withdrawal stamps from the Orange County Library System (Florida) and has typical ex-library wear.
