First edition. Hardcover. Thick quarto. 11.75" x 9". 183pp. text; 332 un-numbered plates, Printed on one side only, mostly in b&w, but a few in full color. Brown linen paper covered boards with embossed title; Cloth spine with raised bands, paper title label with embossed title, not really legible, but no evidence that it was once colored or gilted. T.E.G. Uncut, untrimmed. Each essay by the contributors is followed by several pages of illustrations. Contributors include Bruce Porter, Everett Maxwell, Hector Alliot, Michael Williams, Antony Anderson, Alma May Cook, A. B. Clark, John McLure Hamilton, Hamilton Wright, John McLaren, Bernard R. Maybeck and others. Very light wear, some light spotting to spine cloth. Title page has a small round stain; first plate is foxed. Otherwise very nice, solid clean copy.
