London: William Kimber, 1955. First Edition. 8 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches: pp. 202. Red, black and white photographic paper dust jacket with red and black type. Red cloth with spine titles in goldgilt. Plus 6 pages of publisher catalogue. Translated by Mervyn Savill. Corners nudged, cover and titles bright. In dust jacket with closed tears at top and small chip and one inch chip at bottom. Stain across bottom rear of jacket and staining to inside of jacket. The jacket is in a mylar protector. Boards have some scuffing. Interior unmarked with toning, foxing. Binding tight. The author, a Luftwaffe pilot and squadron commander begins his narrative in 1944.
