It is initially provided in a plastic report-holder sleeve (see photo, color may vary), which can be removed if desired. Cookbook has 30 pages total, 28 numbered, plus a FULL INDEX of the OVER 230 RECIPES included. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book; this is now a pdf document in the public domain. Events of the times: This cookbook was published in November 1950, with 45,000 copies going out to Wisconsin Electricity Customers. In October, the People's Republic of China dramatically escalated the Korean War by sending 1,000s of troops across the Yalu River to engage United Nations forces, marking a critical turning point in the conflict. While the Korean War was heating up, Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India, marking the beginning of her lifelong humanitarian work dedicated to serving the poorest of the poor. In the US, the Jack Benny Show, a groundbreaking comedy television program starring the legendary comedian Jack Benny, debuted on national television. On November 1, Puerto Rican Nationalists Griselio Torresola and Oscar Collazo attempted to assassinate President Harry S. Truman at Blair House in Washington, D.C. and failed.
