Collection of Special Educational Materials for the Formal Development and Study of Schoolchildren with Intellectual Disabilities and for Use in Kindergartens. Illustrated booklet with one supplementary map/plate Original Title: A rare early 20th-century publication documenting a collection of specialized educational and assessment materials developed by the staff of Dr. Vsevolod P. Kashchenko’s sanatorium-school in Moscow. The materials were intended for the educational development and study of children who, in the terminology of the period, were described as having intellectual or developmental disabilities, as well as for activities in kindergartens and auxiliary classes. The booklet reflects the emergence of experimental pedagogy, child psychology, and specialized education in Russia before the Revolution. Kashchenko was an influential physician and educator who helped establish an integrated approach combining observation, assessment, and educational support. Of particular interest to collectors and researchers of the history of education, special pedagogy, child psychology, and Russian educational institutions. Pages: 26 p. + 1 supplementary map/plate. Condition: The spine has been restored. The title page bears a previous owner's inscription. Contains stamps of the editorial office of a journal, as well as other institutional or ownership stamps. Age-related spots and stains are present on the pages. Please see the photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the actual condition of the item.
