"Alfred Tennyson's first published edition of his celebrated narrative poem Enoch Arden, accompanied by related verse works. This foundational collection represents Tennyson in his role as Poet Laureate during Victoria's reign, presenting the tale of a merchant sailor's shipwreck and its emotional consequences. The volume opens with formal dedication pages and contains extensive mid-nineteenth-century advertisement listings. Details ISBN: Not found in book Publisher: Edward Moxon & Co., London Author: Alfred Tennyson Country: United Kingdom Binding: Green cloth hardboard Language: English Publication Year: 1864 Illustrator: Not Stated Condition The book displays solid period wear consistent with a 160-year-old volume. The green cloth binding shows notable wear to the spine head and tail, with light rubbing to the spine lettering and expected fading of gilt elements. Both boards exhibit minor bumping at corners and edges. The binding remains generally sound and structurally secure with split on the spine. Internally, pages are age-toned throughout with scattered foxing to endpapers and preliminary leaves; text remains legible. Bookseller labels and markings present, indicating prior institutional ownership. No dust jacket, as originally issued. Overall a very good reading copy of this scarce first edition.".…
