An excellent copy of this special limited edition (of 1000 copies) being a celebration of Peter Rabbit's 110th year. It contains clothbound volumes of Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Peter Rabbit and The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit by Emma Thompson - as well as an individually signed letter from the latter. The cloth pattern was specifically commissioned from renowned design studio Timorous Beasties. The books and presentation box are in very fine condition and in a white cardboard wrap and a brown numbered box of which this is 909/1000. NB the brown box has a small nudge on it. Please note all my books are securely wrapped and shipped with care in protective packaging within 2 working days. This book will attract higher shipping charges due to size and weight.

- Book 3 of 3: Peter Rabbit
A sumptuous gift box containing two Peter Rabbit adventures. The Original Tale of Peter Rabbit written by Beatrix Potter is accompanied by The Further Tale, written by Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson, and includes a signed letter. Each book is cloth-bound, in a fabric specially commissioned by Timorous Beasties - a cutting edge design company, who have added their contemporary twist to these classic characters.
The Further Tale describes what happens when Peter Rabbit stows away in a picnic basket and, before he knows it, finds himself transported to Scotland on the back of a cart! This plucky little rabbit soon finds himself in the middle of a great big, brand new adventure, a long way from home, family and friends.
Emma Thompson writes with a dry humour, similar to Beatrix Potter's own, and is the perfect choice of author for this new Peter Rabbit tale, to be published 110 years after the original.

About the Author
Emma Thompson is an Oscar-winning screenwriter and actress who lives in London and Argyll. Emma's Further Tale of Peter Rabbit was published in 2012 and was featured in the New York Times Bestseller list - twice!
Emma said, "I've always loved Beatrix Potter, as a child and then as a mother and all the years in-between as well. When Mr Rabbit invited me to write a further tale, I was more honoured than I can say. I hope I don't let him or his extraordinary creator down."
