Provenance: from the collections of Jean-Pierre Faur and Emmanuel Pierrat. Erotic short notes made by the Italian poet in July and August of 1913, Pia, without spilling the beans that the author was actually himself, comments that: 'These notes were among a pile of papers collected by one who served as governess to the poet, and sometime matchmaker' . This was possibly Aelis Mazoyer '.who not only ran d'Annunzio's household and slept with him when required but also supplied him with cocaine and effectively pimped for him.
