A great addition to most public libraries needing some new life in their collection.--Shannon Graff Hysell"American Reference Books Annual 2014" (09/01/2014)
This 11th edition is the product of 18 years of research by the author, and is updated with 800 new cocktails. Many have a number of variations and some have profiles that feature interesting tidbits on the drinks' historical or technical aspects... My favourite part: the rating of the drinks. They range from 1 star (disgusting) to 5 stars (excellent) with hilarious gradations in between... There is plenty of info for new and experienced bartenders alike... Cocktail, anyone?-- (12/17/2013)
(star review) This is a visually appealing, easy-to-use guide for accomplished bartenders and newcomers alike.--Library Journal xPress Reviews (11/23/2013)
Easy to follow, straight up.--Newsday (12/05/2013)
The 11th edition of this boozy reference guide is the essential tome for your serious, hardcore cocktailian.--Vancouver Sun (12/13/2013)
A keeper... Difford's collection is exhaustive, even though some of the recipes feature slightly odd ingredient lists... I love how he offers variants for most of the drinks ("If you like this, try this..."), gives a quick sentence about how each drink should taste, and provides historical information on some of the more classic concoctions.-- (04/14/2014)
