Paperback. Dive into a collection of three stories that explore the transformation of men into monsters amidst the horrors of war. In this gripping anthology, fear takes on new dimensions as innocence clashes with darkness, and survival becomes a desperate struggle against the unspeakable."Dixie": Amidst the ruins of a post-Civil War landscape, Arthur Aldridge stumbles upon a town ensnared by a sinister force. A man of haunted past, Arthur must become the unlikely hero as he faces off against the enigmatic and malevolent killer known only as The Captain. As the town's last hope, he must battle not only The Captain but also the shadows within himself to save the innocent from a fate worse than death."The Vet": The year is 1972, and a group of college students embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind a Vietnam veteran's tortured existence. Their pursuit takes them deep into the heart of darkness, where the horrors of war have twisted reality into a nightmare. As they uncover the soldier's grim secrets, they find themselves caught in a web of terror, and one by one, they fall prey to the creeping darkness that consumes their humanity."Monster": Patrick Hansen, a brute driven to madness by his own size and the malevolent forces that sought to exploit him, is unleashed upon an unsuspecting group of Americans exploring the battlefield of war. His sanity shattered, his brutality knows no bounds, and the farmland become a graveyard for those who dare cross his path. Amid the remnants of a battleground, a battle of survival unfolds, pitting humanity against the monstrous echoes of war.In "Only the Dead," the line between humanity and monstrosity blurs, and the echoes of war reverberate across time and space. Each story is a journey into darkness, where men's souls are shattered, innocence is lost, and the struggle for survival takes on terrifying new forms. Prepare to be immersed in a world where the true monsters are not the creatures lurking in the shadows, but the horrors that war can unleash upon the human soul. This item is printed on demand.
