Ce livre est le fruit d’une vie passée à observer le mouvement humain, à écouter les corps et à interroger ce qui, en chacun de nous, respire souvent sans que nous y prêtions attention. Au fil de mes années de pratique, d’étude et de recherche, la respiration s’est révélée comme un territoire à la fois familier et méconnu. Elle semble simple, mais elle s’organise selon une logique interne d’une subtilité remarquable.
J’ai souhaité rassembler ici l’essentiel de ces observations et proposer une description fonctionnelle et organisationnelle de la respiration. Ce travail explore ses fondements biomécaniques et physiologiques, mais aussi les déséquilibres et les adaptations qui peuvent en découler. Au fil des pages se dessine une idée centrale : lorsque la respiration se modifie, tout le corps s’organise différemment.
Cette approche ouvre un regard nouveau sur de nombreuses pathologies. On comprend progressivement comment une pathologie d’épaule peut émerger ou se structurer autour d’une respiration altérée ou déséquilibrée, comment certaines atteintes rachidiennes s’enracinent dans une mécanique ventilatoire modifiée, comment une perte d’efficacité du plancher pelvien peut naître d’un jeu de pressions mal réparti. Ces liens, souvent discrets, éclairent autrement des situations cliniques que nous pensions connaître.
Ce livre n’est pas seulement un recueil de connaissances. Il reflète le regard d’un clinicien pour qui la respiration constitue une clé de lecture fondamentale du corps en mouvement. J’espère que ces pages inviteront chaque lecteur, qu’il soit professionnel, étudiant ou simplement curieux, à redécouvrir ce geste si ordinaire et à en percevoir la richesse, la cohérence et les enjeux profonds.
Ce livre est aussi un questionnement ouvert. Il propose des pistes, éclaire certains mécanismes et offre quelques clés, mais le champ qu’il explore est vaste et encore en construction. Il appelle naturellement d’autres regards, d’autres contributions, afin que cette compréhension en mouvement continue à se préciser sans jamais se disperser.
Une autre dimension importante de cet ouvrage est le lien entre la respiration et les réflexes archaïques, ces fondements de notre motricité qui façonnent dès les premiers instants notre manière de nous organiser contre la gravité. En explorant la kinésiologie du développement, j’essaie de montrer comment ces réflexes primaires influencent durablement notre posture, notre tonus, notre coordination… mais aussi nos schémas respiratoires. Ce dialogue entre respiration et développement moteur ouvre un champ passionnant, encore largement sous-estimé, et constitue l’une des portes d’entrée majeures de ce livre.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
