Folio33x25 cms.Double title page in french and english.4 leaves of preface,table of contents.Hand-coloured stipple-engraved vignette to the title page, and 60 similar plates by Dadley and William Poole after Dalvimart.Each plate with its explanation in english and french.The plates finely coloured. The book recased in a fine XIX blue moroccowith double fillet on covers,slightly rubbed. Spine richly gilt,red label.The text and plates are one cm shorter than the binding in which was recased. Internally a good copy in a fine period binding. The plates are considered very accurate and show the different people living in the Othoman dominions.
