Interior is clean with several small penciled markings on the title page, which also has two short tears that are confined to the lower margin; pages 17-18 also have two closed tears in the fore edge that do go into the illustrations, but no paper is lost; paper somewhat toned but not brittle. Binding is very secure--staples intact with no tearing of the cover at the staples and all pages are firmly attached; there is slight wear along the fold and a 1/2" tear at the base. Pictorial front cover rubbed with several shallow creases; there is an inked "3e" below the price. Rear cover has slight wear and soiling, but the colors of the illustration are vivid and undimmed.
