Neuware - 'A satirical masterpiece of mud, theology, and equine anarchy.' - The Scriptorium WeeklyBrother Julian wanted a quiet scriptorium. Instead, God gave him a cynical mule, a three-hundred pound cart of unreleased fables, and a lifetime of divine heckling. In the cold, malicious Blackwood Forest, the rain is conspiring, the roads are sucking clay, and the Creator of the Universe is a bored playwright heckling the lead actor in a storm. When a simple delivery turns into a gauntlet of extortionist wolves, trigger-happy inquisitors, and equine alcoholism, Friar Julian must rely on his frayed wits, his useless prayers, and his unswerving dedication to the art of the perfectly aimed comeback.A witty, gritty, and deeply humorous journey through a broken world, The Mendicant Friar proves that salvation often comes wrapped in wet wool, mud, and a sarcastic disposition.
