At the supermarket, we give the cashier a card when paying, on whose chip our loyalty points are noted, and through which the supermarket chain gets to know our shopping behaviour. Car insurance companies go to check the driving behaviour of their customers with chips in the car, and health insurance companies are happy to receive our fitness data. There are discounts on purchase and insurance policies. And companies exchange their data. If you do little for your health and drive badly your car, you are probably not a particularly safe borrower, so it says. If you do not push out your data, you pay more than the others and soon suspect something to hide. The data collection of the major Internet companies is beginning to change society. Those who do not reveal data live more expensive and isolate themselves socially. Scholars are concerned with these societal changes, and the authors of this comic have interviewed them and tested their findings in self-trial. Result: It's almost impossible to escape Big Data.
