FIRST EDITION (1906), Blackie's Miniature Picture Books, small oblong format, 150 x 74 mm, 6 x 3 inches, 30 comical coloured illustrations by CHARLES ROBINSON, 2 line captions on facing pages, pages are french folded, original publisher's grey pictorial cloth, blue lettering to spine, red, blue and white picture to upper cover with black lettered title, small picture on lower cover in red, black and white with "Blackie's Miniature Picture Books" in black lettering, original pictorial endpapers. Professionally recased, slight wear and rubbing to spine, tiny split to top of lower hinge with very slight loss of cloth, blue lettering on spine rubbed with slight loss of colour to a few letters, some light scratching to covers, very occasional very light fox spots to text and margins of plates, small bookseller's pale green ink stamp to bottom of first free pictorial endpaper near to hinge, otherwise a very good copy of this uncommon title.
