Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley was an English writer best known for her Gothic novel Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus. Additional works include Mathilda, The Last Man, and Lodore. She was married to poet and philosopher Percy Bysshe Shelley, and was the daughter of feminist Mary Wollstonecraft.
