The first edition of this novel by "the author of 'Paul Ferroll' and 'IX Poems by V.'" Tale written by Caroline Clive, highly regarded English author known for her poems, particularly her IX Poems which were influential in feminine verse at the time. Rebound in half straight up grain morocco binding over marbled boards and endpapers. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, rubbed to head and tail of spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to endpapers, affecting odd leaf only; pages otherwise generally bright and clean. Very Good. book.
