Condition: good. Erdkunde. (Old Maps, 19th Century Maps, World Maps, Mercator's Projection, Volcanoes, Volcanic Ranges, Prospect Views, Decorative Maps, Scientific Maps). Issued in c.1870, Leipzig by F. A. Brockhaus. Fine 19th century antique lithographed map. With a scientific diagram and two prospect views below. The overprinted lithographed red indicates the volcanic regions. Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal. Sheet measures c. 10 1/2" H x 13 5/8" W. Printed area measures c. 8 5/8" H x 11 7/8" W. Tooley's Dictionary of Mapmakers , vol. 1. [R35770].
